Important Notes If you are not staying at a hotel in the city of San Francisco, you may meet the tour at the Tour Terminal in San Francisco near the intersection of I-80 and US-101 (specific address to be provided on your E-Ticket), or you may pre-arrange for pickup at any hotel in the city of San Francisco. If you will be traveling into San Francisco from the airport area or anywhere served by Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), an excellent option is to take BART to the Powell Street Station and be picked up at the Parc 55 Hotel across the street from the Powell Street Station. All pickup locations must be pre-arranged. You will be asked to specify your pickup location on the Order Form. The Tour The day begins with a pick-up from your San Francisco lodging between 6:15 and 6:45 am. Heading east across the Oakland Bay Bridge, see great views of the San Francisco skyline, Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge. After a scenic drive through the Coastal Mountains and the Central Valley, we arrive at Yosemite Park (approximately 3.5 hours away from San Francisco). Once inside the park, we'll hike down to the Giant Sequoia Trees for a leisurely picnic lunch. After lunch, return to the van to sit back and enjoy an informative and historical guided tour through Yosemite's glaciated valley with its famous waterfalls and rock formations. Your guided tour will conclude at Yosemite Valley where you'll have approximately three hours to do as you wish. Choose from activities such as walking the base of the waterfall, stopping by the visitor's center, browsing through the Ansel Adams Gallery, swimming in the river, or just taking a break at the Ahwanhee Hotel to name a few. At around 6:00 pm, we will regroup and head for our lodging for dinner (dinner is not included in the cost of the tour). Day two will start bright and early. Be ready for a departure from the hotel at 8:00 am, fed, packed and ready for another day of adventure. On this day, we will drive out to Glacier Point for spectacular views of Yosemite Valley. Once there, you will have an option to hike back to the Valley or return in the van to have a full free day. We will regroup at approximately 4:30 pm for our journey back to San Francisco. With one stop along the way, be returned to your San Francisco lodging between 9:00 and 9:30 pm. Vehicle: We use eco-friendly 15 passenger bio-diesel vans with air conditioning and stereo for comfort.
