Only a few hours drive from San Francisco, let the sheer magnificence of Yosemite take your breath away. Once inside the park, soak in Yosemite's majestic beauty on a 90 minute guided tour where you'll see highlights such as El Capitan, Bridalveil Fall and Half Dome. You'll also enjoy three to four hours of free time where you can walk the base of Yosemite Falls, visit the Ansel Adams Gallery or just hike a trial. Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center. Important Notes If you are not staying at a hotel in the city of San Francisco, you may meet the tour at the Tour Terminal in San Francisco near the intersection of I-80 and US-101 (specific address to be provided on your E-Ticket), or you may pre-arrange for pickup at any hotel in the city of San Francisco. If you will be traveling into San Francisco from the airport area or anywhere served by Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), an excellent option is to take BART to the Powell Street Station and be picked up at the Parc 55 Hotel across the street from the Powell Street Station. All pickup locations must be pre-arranged. You will be asked to specify your pickup location on the Order Form. The Tour Yosemite National Park is located roughly 200 miles east of San Francisco. The travel time to Yosemite from San Francisco is approximately 3.5 hours. The day begins with a pick-up from your San Francisco lodging between 6:15 and 6:45 am. Heading east across the Oakland Bay Bridge, see great views of the San Francisco skyline, Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf and the Golden Gate Bridge. En route to Yosemite, we will cross through the Central Valley where we'll stop at a fruit stand for some local produce. Famous for its rich volcanic soil, the Central Valley is the largest agricultural region in the United States. After this quick stop, we'll start to enter the rolling foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. We'll pass through California's Gold Country before we wind our way into Yosemite National Park. With maps in hand, we'll begin a 90 minute narrated tour of Yosemite's glaciated valley. You'll see famous waterfalls including Yosemite Falls - the tallest waterfall in North America, El Capitan, Half Dome, Bridalveil Fall, Sentinel Dome and much more. You'll also see Yosemite Valley from a number of great vantage points, perhaps the best of which is Inspiration Point, located 4,500 feet above sea level. Because of our small group size, we can incorporate multiple photo stops into our guided tour. At the conclusion of the tour, we'll stop near the base of Yosemite Falls where there are a variety of lunch options to choose from (lunch not included in the cost of the tour). After your meal, you will have 3-4 hours of free time to explore the valley as you choose. You can walk to the base of Yosemite Falls, check out the Visitor's Center, visit the Ansel Adams Gallery, rent a cruiser bike or hike some of the trails that originate from the valley. Regrouping again in the late afternoon we head back for San Francisco, stopping once for a short break before arriving in the city by the bay between 8:30 and 9:00 pm. Tour includes free San Francisco hotel pick up and drop off, park admission and a 90-minute guided tour of Yosemite Valley. Child rate applies to all children under the age of 13.
