Let our staff serve a delicious four-course dinner while you travel in luxurious dining cars on the Sierra Railroad. We schedule most trips with time to see the countryside and the sunset. After dinner, retire to our lounge car for fun, cocktails, and dancing. Enjoy the rich history of the third oldest short line railroad in North America as you travel through 32 miles of unspoiled countryside, rolling hills, orchards and farmland. You will take pleasure in the sites of wildlife like egrets and blue herons perched in the nearby streams and ponds, coyotes on the prowl, rabbits nestling near the track and red-tail hawks hovering in the skyline. The Sierra Railroad is commonly known as The Movie Railroad. With its superb scenery, this railroad is singled out by movie producers from around the world as a preferred location for filming. The Sierra Railroad has been featured in over 300 motion pictures, television programs and commercials.
Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final. Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center. ENTREE SELECTIONS Each order must include entree selections for each member of the party.
Menu Selection The Trip The train is comprised of elegantly refurbished dining cars with five different in-laid woods in art deco patterns adorned with delicate sconces and a lounge car that includes a full-bar with dance floor. The historic Sierra #42, a 50-year old Baldwin Diesel engine, pulls the dinner train. Location: Our Oakdale station is about one hour from the San Francisco Bay Area or Sacramento, on the way to Yosemite National Park, one block south of the junction of highways 108 and 120. Blackout Dates: No brunches in October due to the Pumpkin Trains. No brunches in December due to the Christmas trains. No brunch on May 15 (Chocolate Festival) due to Wine & Chocolate specials. General Information Schedule subject to change and/or cancellation without notice. No Smoking. No Pets. Guide/Service dogs are permitted. Tour does not offer hotel pick-up or drop-off. This tour includes 3-hour train ride, 4-course dinner, and live music. Tax and gratuity are included in the price. Child age is for children 3 to 11; under 3 may ride in an adult's lap for free.
